چکیده

We carried out a car-to-infrastructure (C21) and car-to-car (C2C) 4X4 multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) radio channel measurement campaign at 5.2 GHz in Lund, Sweden. This paper presents first results on pathloss, power-delay profiles, and delay-Doppler spectra in a C2C highway scenario, where both cars were traveling in opposite directions. A pathloss coefficient of 1.8 yields the best fit with our measurement results in the mean square sense. The measured Doppler shift of the line of sight path matches exactly with theoretical calculations. Selected paths are investigated in the delay and Doppler domain. The average delay spread is 250 ns; Doppler shifts of more than 1000 Hz are observed. ISWCS 2007 This work may not be copied or reproduced in whole or in part for any commercial purpose. The 18th Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC’07) FIRST RESULTS FROM CAR-TO-CAR AND CAR-TO-INFRASTRUCTURE RADIO CHANNEL MEASUREMENTS AT 5.2GHZ

Car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure (henceforth called C2X) communications are constantly gaining importance for roadsafety and other applications. In order to design efficient C2X systems, an understanding of realistic C2X propagation channels is required, but currently, only few measurements have been published. This paper presents a description of an extensive measurement campaign recently ...

DISSERTATION The Vehicular Radio Channel in the 5 GHz Band

In this thesis I present a methodology, in order to characterize the time-variant vehicular radio channel. The radio channel is part of the communication system, which the engineer cannot influence. Therefore it has to be characterized in a way that the transmitters and receivers can be well designed, for specific applications. For this characterization we carried out two vehicular radio channe...

Delay Spread and Time Delay Jitter for the Uhf Factory Multipath Channel

The results of wide band delay spread and time delay jitter measurements collected from five factory buildings are presented here. Carrier frequency was 1282 MHz. The data show that excess mean delay, r.m.s. delay spread, and time delay jitter values in single-story factory buildings are similar to values observed in and around multi-story office buildings. Differential time delay jitter measur...

Results of Indoor Wideband Delay-Azimuth-Elevation Measurements for Stochastic Radio Channel Modeling

The characteristics of the propagation in indoor environments at a carrier frequency of 24 GHz are investigated by means of wideband directional measurements. The data shows that indoor radio propagation is dominated by impinging waves that exhibit discrete character. Furthermore, a global characterization of the investigated radio environment suitable for stochastic channel modeling by means o...

Measurements and Modelling of the Wideband Mobile Radio Channel in Residential Suburban Environments

A new three dimensional (3D) ray-tracing propagation prediction tool (3D MRT-1) is being developed for characterisation of wideband mobile radio channel. It calculates the amplitude, phase, angle-of-departure (AOD), angle-of-arrival (AOA), optical path length and received field strength for each valid reflected or diffracted ray path. It also constructs the power delay profile (PDP) and extract...
